This couple renovated an old bus and the result made me want to leave everything and move in

I think everyone knows the feeling when you feel that you have to let go of everything and start over.
And so did Felix Stark and his girlfriend Selima Taibi, both from Germany.
Both of them were fed up with the rush of 3 million people in Berlin and they decided to try something completely different - they wanted to travel and experience the nature of America.
In addition, they had the idea to buy and renovate an old bus.
So Felix and Selima challenged themselves - they wanted to renovate the bus and live in it.
The couple managed to change the shape of the bus and all by themselves! What's more, they did all the renovations with recycled materials.
They called the trip 'The Happiness Journey' and at these moments as we write this article they are exploring the nature of North America. And who wouldn't want to live their life too? Watch their amazing process, and you'll probably want to do the same for yourself.
Salima Taibi and Felix Stark escaped from the city life to take a trip to North America.
But to fulfill the dream they had to find a place to live and also a convenient way to get from place to place.
So they thought, why not combine them both?
They first moved to the United States, finding an old, abandoned school bus.
They immediately started working on it, and first of all they took out all the chairs
They then completely cleaned up the passengers section
Then came the wall-building phase that separated the rooms. As you can see they used a lot of wooden planks
When you have a small house with little space, creative storage solutions are something to think about
They painted the inside. They chose a light color to give a more airy and light feel
In the image above, Selima is working on the toilets
The outside of the bus was also worn, so they decided to paint it too
And the end result! Elegant, comfortable and warm.
The bus is filled with small details and a rustic look, but still modern and clean.
And the original windows give a lot of light, which adds to the overall impression.
The kitchen has a sink, stove and oven. All you need. And there's a lot of room
Felix is a director and Selima is an artist, so they both wanted to work during the trip as well. So they built themselves comfortable work positions
The bedroom looks good as well
How about waking up to this landscape in the morning?
All the furniture has been specially prepared to fit the bus, allowing them plenty of space for other things
Their dog Rudy of course came with them from Germany too, and he got his own bed as well
With the bus built and ready (at least 98% by the couple), Felix and Selima are ready for their journey.
They started in Canada, soaking up the stunning views of British Columbia.
Then proceeded to the west coast of the United States
Doesn't it make you want to leave everything and go on a journey like theirs? Definitely inspiring!
