A girl asked a rejected boy with Down's syndrome to the ball - a few hours later a car stopped and left her speechlessly

Finding a date for the school's annual dance is super important for every 17-year-old, so it can really hurt their confidence when no one wants to go with them.

Daniel Rivas, 17, who has Down's syndrome, wanted to go to the school dance. Sadly, every girl he asked turned him down.

But there was one girl who said yes. Kylie Peronius was kinder than the rest; she made Daniel's day by asking him to go with her to the dance. What she didn't know was that she was about to get the surprise of her life.

Daniel beamed with joy when Kylie asked him if he wanted to go to the dance with her.

"I don’t see kids with different disabilities as any different," Kylie said. "I think of them as regular people who just learn in a different way."

The word spread

When word of Kylie's kind gesture got around school, someone suggested that Fox 5 send their surprise squad to the dance.

Enjoying a special treat

Before the dance, Kylie and Daniel took photos together. Fox 5 even sent a Rolls Royce to take them to the dance in style. But that wasn't all. On the way, they stopped at a nice restaurant where they shared a meal with Daniel's mom.

"I drive by that restaurant all the time, but I always thought it would be too expensive to go there with the kids," Daniel's mom said.

The surprises kept coming

And that wasn’t the end. After the dance, Fox 5 revealed they were sending both Kylie and Daniel, along with their families, to Disneyland.
