A black waitress had to serve a Donald Trump supporter - an hour later she saw this on the table

If you set aside your biases and treat others as if they were family or friends—regardless of their origins or backgrounds—you might be pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

Just ask Rosalind Harris.

Rosalind Harris works as a waitress at a coffee shop in Washington, D.C.

One day, at the end of January, a man entered the café with two friends and ordered lunch; the three white men took a seat at the table that Rosalind was serving.

The men were in the capital to attend the swearing-in ceremony of U.S. President Donald Trump—a figure known for making statements such as, "our African-American communities are in the worst situation ever."

Wearing hats that proclaimed "Make America Great Again," the trio certainly stood out among the other patrons.

The café’s walls were adorned with African-American art and photographs, as noted in a Washington Post article.

Two days prior, Rosalind had participated in the Women’s March against Donald Trump.

Rosalind and the three men occupied opposing ends of the political spectrum, and the day they crossed paths was marked by heightened emotions throughout the city.

Nevertheless, Rosalind chose to set aside her differences and treat her customers as she would any other patrons.

She greeted them with a warm smile and engaged in light conversation. Her demeanor not only astonished the three men but also prompted them to express their appreciation for her.

When Rosalind returned with the bill, she was met with an unexpected surprise.

One of the men, James White, had written a note on the receipt. He penned:

"We may come from different cultures, and we may disagree on certain matters, but if everyone shared their smiles and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country would be united—beyond race, beyond gender, just Americans. God bless you."

He also left her a tip of $450!
