A bride saw the ex-wife of the groom at the wedding - she stopped everything and made her stand

Marrying someone who has children from a previous marriage can be scary.

Not only you promise to be there for your loved one until death, but you also accept responsibility and actually become parents. You should always be there for the person you married and their children.

When Katie Hild got married, she knew she'd be saying vows for her groom, Jeremy, but she also had important words for Jeremy's son, Landon, for Landon's mother, Casey, and his stepfather, Tyler.

Getting into Landon's parenting structure wasn't going to be easy, but Katie thought it was important for everyone to be in the same boat.

Instead of ignoring Landon's mother and anxious father, Katie invited them both to the wedding. She even wrote special vows to show them how much she appreciated their love and support.

Co-parenting with strangers is obviously a challenge, but everyone wanted Landon's best interests, so they decided to cooperate.

Katie was about to become a permanent part of the family, and she wanted to do it in a dignified way.

After saying her vows to Jeremy, Katie turned to Casey and Tyler and offered words of love to the two people she would co-parent with her for the rest of her life.

It takes a lot of courage and a lot of humility to do what Katie did - to draw attention from her to her husband's ex-wife on her wedding day. But Katie did it without hesitation.

It was the most important moment of her life and she knew how important it was to include Casey and Tyler.

After reading her vows to them, Katie turned to Landon.

She bent down to be at his height and promised to take care of him and told him how much she loved him.

She promised that she would be his best friend forever, and that she would always be there for him.

By the time Katie finished, all the wedding guests were in tears. What an emotional moment!

Katie said to Casey:

"First of all I want to thank you for accepting me as your friend and for allowing me to be a part of Landon's life. I promise to be a wonderful mother to your son, I will guide, teach and love him every day. I promise to work, respect, listen and communicate together as co-parents. I Love you no matter what happens, we are one family forever".
