Not everyone has the money to buy a house, but that doesn't stop them from dreaming. Like most people, Steve Areen dreamed of having his own home one day. And even though he didn't have much money, he managed to save about $9,000.
In most places it is not even enough for a warehouse, but in Thailand, Steve managed to do something amazing.
When a friend of Steve's gave him permission to build something in his mango plantation, Steve gladly accepted his offer. Six weeks later, he almost finished building his dream home. The result? We are very jealous!
How it all began? Steve received a small plot of land in Thailand from a friend who runs a mango farm.
Steve had a total of about $9,000 and a lot of free time. But as you can see, that was definitely enough.
The materials for building the structure cost around $6,000. Steve did almost all the work by himself, with two friends helping him occasionally.
Steve created dome-shaped spaces with blocks of concrete, then connected them together and painted them.
The house reminds an Igloo with his shape.
Steve chose Orange. A color that fits the ground.
To give the building a homely feel, Steve spent about $3,000 on furniture and interior design.
Do you see what this is supposed to become?
Now do you get it?
The answer - A large and comfortable bed.
But it's not just the bedroom that impressed us. The living room also looks not bad at all..
The shower is a work of art in itself. Amazing, right?
And what about the sink? Just spectacular!
The kitchen is not very modern, but we could definitely live with it.
The thatched shed over the porch makes it a perfect place to spend the afternoon.
Remember, it only took six weeks for Steve and his two friends to build the house.
Steve who works as a photographer all over the world, has definitely done an amazing job. And he certainly seems to be enjoying life.
Build it all for $9,000? How amazing!
And the atmosphere when it gets dark is just stunning.
