A mother adopted a baby no one wanted - 28 years later the hard truth was revealed

Ingeborg McIntosh went through a lot to adopt her son, Jordan.

He was a newborn baby when she served as his foster family, and for the next four years, Ingeborg found it difficult to convince his biological mother to allow her to adopt him. His biological mother preferred a black family adopt Jordan.

But when no one showed interest in Jordan, so Ingeborg finally got the long-awaited approval and officially adopted him.

"They put him in my arms and it was love at first sight", she said.

But 20 years later, the relationship took a dramatic turn.

Ingeborg's family has cared for 125 foster children over the years, but no one has regained her heart like Jordan.

Jordan grew up in Ingeborg's home, but his biological mother did not want Ingeborg's family to adopt him. She wanted the child to be adopted by a black family.

But it was impossible to find a home for Jordan, so when he was 4 years old, Ingeborg and her family adopted him.

"He was part of the family, no matter what", Ingeborg said.

Two decades later, Ingeborg received heartbreaking news. She suffered from polycystic kidney disease and needed a kidney transplant.

Jordan decided he could not stand aside and watch his mother suffer. He decided to do something - without his mother knowing what his plans were.

He made an appointment to see if he could donate his kidney. And the test determined that his kidney was suitable.

"I felt like it was my highlight in life", Jordan said. "I hope I can do more for her when I get older, but right now, this is the least I can do".

Ingeborg insisted that Jordan won't go through the process, but he had already decided.

When Jordan talks about his mother, one can see and feel his love. He can barely hold back the tears when he talks about her.

"Everything she's done for me since I was born, I just wanted to reward her for it, and show her how much I love and appreciate her", he said.

Despite the difficult times, this story has a happy ending - all because of the strong bond between the mother and son.
