Her husband died in Afghanistan, but then she opened his laptop and found a file he had hidden from her

This story contains one of the most beautiful expressions of love we have ever seen so we just had to share it with you.
In September 2010, Todd Weaver, a US Army lieutenant, served in Afghanistan when he was killed by an explosive device.
His widow, Emma, was broken, and his nine-month-old daughter, Kylie, would grow into a reality where she will never get to know her loving father.
Todd's body was flown back to the United States and he was given a hero's funeral at the Arlington Military Cemetery.
Unfortunately, Emma and Kylie had never been given the chance to say goodbye to the husband and father they loved so much. And Todd never got to say all the things he wanted to tell Emma and Kiley before he died. Or so Emma thought ..
And then, two days after Todd's funeral, Emma turned on his computer and found something amazing. Hidden inside a folder there were two documents. One document was called 'Dear Emma' and the other 'Dear Kylie'.
Todd must have written the letters before he flew to Afghanistan, getting prepared for the worst.
Both letters were love letters written by their heroic father to the two loves of his life.
Read below the two beautiful and heartbreaking letters:
The first letter is from Todd to his wife, Emma:
Dear Emma:
Well, if you're reading this, then I probably couldn't return back home, so I couldn't remind you again how much I love you.
I love you so much sweet, and always will. Even though I may not be here now, take comfort in the fact that I'm guarding you from above.
I am not gone and will always be with you in my spirit. I know these times are difficult for you but I also know how strong you are.
Never forget that God knew what was good for us before we were born. Take comfort in this. It happened because of a reason. You may not believe it now, but someday you will.
I want you to know how important you are to me. I couldn't ask for a more caring, beautiful, and loving woman than you are. The memories we shared during the past few years were the most beautiful moments of my life. Although it may seem that my life has shortened, I have lived a life that most people would have dreamed of. I married the perfect woman. I have a beautiful daughter who amazes me every day.
I even had two wonderful dogs - at least most of the time. I couldn't ask for more. If you feel sad, just remember the beautiful moments we had together. Look at our daughter and how beautiful she is.
Be strong for her. Remind her of her father and tell her I loved her more than anything in the world. Her birth was the best day of my life and she was the best thing that ever happened to me. Her smile and laughter symbolize what is good and beautiful in this world.
Tell her that her dad is in heaven now and he'll watch over her every minute of the day. I love you Emma. But don't be afraid to do what you need to do to be happy. It is important that you continue to find happiness in your life. Although you may think at the moment that this is impossible, do not lose hope.
Better days will come. You and Kylie are waiting for a wonderful life and I'm so glad I was able to share some of them with you.
I love you.
Your loving husband,
Todd
The second letter is from Todd to his nine-month-old daughter, Kylie:
Dear Kylie, my sweetheart:
Although you may not remember me, I want you to know how much your father loves you.
I flew to Afghanistan when you were 9 months old.
To leave you was the hardest thing I had to do.
You are so special to me sweetheart - you are truly a gift from God.
The best day of my life was the day you were born.
Every time I saw you smiling my heart melted.
My sweetness - my life was never perfect until you were born.
I'm so sorry I will not be there to see you growing up.
But remember, your father is not gone. I am in heaven now smiling at you from above every day.
You're lucky to have a wonderful mother to look after you.
Be good to her and help her when you can.
Always remember to say your prayers at night and thank you for all the things you have been blessed with.
Never forget how important and special you are to many people.
We love you so much. When you grow up and start going to school, do your best to learn as much as you can about the world in which you live.
Always be nice and caring for others and you'll find the world will be nice to you back.
But when things do not go the way you want, never forget that God knows what's good for you and everything will work out in the end.
You have such a wonderful pink future in front of you.
Have fun. Enjoy life. And remember, your father will always be proud of you and will always love you.
You are my sweetheart and will always be.
With big love,
Your dad
Nothing will ever compensate for the loss of Emma and Kylie, but we are glad Todd could write these letters before he died and that Emma found them.
Todd certainly seemed to be a husband, a father and an amazing person. We send a warm embrace to his family.
