If you see a child sitting in the middle of the road while you're driving – lock your doors immediately!

With each passing year, there is technological and scientific progress.
Software improves, cars drive faster, and we learn more and more about the human body.
But while there are many things that improve with new technology - it also negatively affects other things.
Criminals and scammers are getting smarter and are always finding new ways to scare or commit their crimes.
Fraud and identity theft are just some of the things that have become easier for scammers.
In a society that is increasingly reliant on computers and technology, this creates a huge problem.
When a 33-year-old woman was returning home from work late at night, she saw something in the middle of the road and slowed down.
The closer she got, the clearer the object became. But it wasn’t actually an object, it was a small child.
Naturally, she wanted to find out what had happened to him and if the child was okay.
She drove carefully, but just as she was about to stop the car, she saw two men in black clothes and hoodies approaching her.
They approached her car and tried to open the doors, but luckily she had locked them.
In the meantime, she was able to get a better look at the ‘child’ and realized that it wasn’t a child at all, but a dummy - dressed in a child’s clothes.
She quickly drove away and called the police as soon as she was a safe distance from the ‘road pirates’.
When the police arrived, they found the dummy, but not the men.
“The woman sped away”, said Officer Wank. “And that was definitely the right thing to do”.
Her car could have been stolen, or worse, she could have been attacked.
A few days later, evidence from the crime scene led police to three boys, ages 10, 14, and 17.
They told police their goal wasn’t to steal the car with the ‘prank’.
They said they just wanted someone to run over the doll and panic, thinking they had run over a real child.
Not funny at all, if you ask us, and a terrible way to scare people!
It’s unclear whether they were charged, or just given a warning.
Either way, if you see something in the middle of the road, lock your doors and be careful. If you see anything suspicious, drive away and contact the police.
Warn more people, so that they don't become victims of these dangerous and very unfunny pranks!
