Like the toilet, the bathroom can be one of the least fun areas you have to clean in the house. It gets dirty so quickly and sometimes dirt and mold accumulates on it - and getting rid of these ugly stains can be a difficult task that requires a lot of time and energy.

But imagine if you could solve all these problems with grapefruit? It might sound crazy, but when I saw the end result, I just had to share it. All thanks to a smart mom who posted it.

You may have heard before that there are citrus fruits that can work as an eco-friendly cleaning agent. But what many didn't think about is that instead of mixing fruit juice in a spray bottle, it's easier to use the fruit as a sponge or scotch.

And although lemon and vinegar are the recommended natural ingredients, there is nothing like the smell of fresh grapefruit.

You need:

1 Grapefruit

1/4 Cup coarse salt

Instructions:

1. Cut the grapefruit in half. Sprinkle some salt on both halves.

2. Rinse the bathtub and spread the rest of the salt on the bottom of the bathtub.

3. Now take half a grapefruit and use it as scotch and scrub the bath. As you will see after a very short time, you will get an amazing result.

When you're done, rinse well and the dirt and stains will be a thing of the past and your bathtub will look like new again!

You can use this effective trick to clean the shower head and faucets as well.
