In that hot summer day, a wild horse named Champ and his family walked along the banks of Salt River in Tonto Park in Arizona, United States. Minutes later, a second group of wild horses appeared from the other side of the bank.
It wasn't long before Champ and his family tried to reach the other side, and they all entered the river and began to cross it.
Suddenly, the strong current swept away the group's young mare, and she began to drown.
Champ tried to grab the mare by the neck, but was unsuccessful. The mare moved away from the group, struggling with the water.
Champ also seperated from the group and tried to reach her. He grabbed her by the neck again, and gently helped her reach the bank of the river. He didn't leave until he knew she was safe.
Traumatized by what happened, the young mare returned to her mother. With everything under control, Champ crossed the river, greeting the horses on the other side as if they were old friends.
When he returned, Champ greeted his family, and the description of the video read, "Like a pre-written ending, to the story of the legends, three birds landed on Champ and his mare".
Wild horses are truly something amazing, wonderful creatures. Watch the heroic video below:
