That's why you must always have a bottle of coke in the fridge - this trick can save lives!
|
Since the first carbonated beverage was brewed by pharmacist John Pemberton in 1886, the Coca-Cola Company has grown to become one of the largest companies in the world.
Today, the soft drink company can be found in every corner of the globe - and there is probably no better-known product than a Coca-Cola bottle.
But with such great popularity, the drink has formed the basis of many rumors over the years. Some have no grip on reality at all - but some of the rumors have been proven true.
One of the rumors is that Coca-Cola can be used to extinguish fires and save lives.
This may sound strange, and before we move on, it's important to remember that the best option is to make sure you have a fire extinguisher nearby.
But sometimes accidents happen when you do not expect them.
For example, imagine you are in a place where there is no fire extinguisher to put out a fire. What will you do?
It doesn't hurt if you have another plan - and surprisingly, this additional plan to extinguish the fire includes Coca-Cola.
So, how does it work? Well, take a bottle of Coca-Cola and take the cap off it.
Then, cover the mouthpiece with your thumb, and shake the bottle well, pointing the bottle in the direction of the fire.
Does it work?
Well, why not see how a professional firefighter does it in the video below:
