The miracle of the creation of new life can be amazing, especially if you document it in the wild. A rare moment during daylight documented by Christian and Jeanette Leroy, at Chobe National Park, located at Botswana.
In the video you see a newborn elephant surrounded by family and the mother who gave his birth. In the extraordinary moment you see the first breath of the baby elephant as he comes out from the amniotic sac.
The mother and other family members sprinkle the soil and sand over the perforated bag so the smell will not come out and attract predators to the place. Then they work together to remove the bag and release the cub so he can stand on his feet.
Once the cub is outside, it is doing his best to stand on his feet, and at the end he succeeds!
What a rare and exciting moment. Nature at its best.
