A woman found her husband, a disabled combat veteran, crying outside their home. She then understood what the neighbor did

Anyone who knows someone who fought in the war, served his country and was later released knows how difficult it is for that person to return to normal life.

Many feel alienated, depressed, and anxious. We must therefore respect and cherish those who risked their lives for the safety of us all.

This story about a disabled military soldier touched us deeply.

While serving in Afghanistan, Christopher Garrett, a former combat soldier, was on a mission when he was shot in the abdomen. Because of the bullet in the stomach he was forced to be released from army service.

Christopher flew back home and tried to live a normal life, which included mowing the lawn at least once a week. He used an old lawn mower that he pushed with his hands.

With a 100% disability percentage, simple tasks like mowing the lawn were very difficult for Christopher.

Then one day, Brittany Lynn Garrett, Christopher's wife, saw him crying outside their house. She thought something had happened but very quickly discovered the exact opposite.

An anonymous neighbor noticed Christopher mowing the lawn, and saw how he was struggling with pushing the mower. So, the man did an amazing thing: he went and bought Christopher and his family a new John Deere mower that he can drive in!

The anonymous man left a note along with the gift on which he wrote: "I hope this gift will save you time for the things that really matter in life. Thank you for your service for my freedom and security. Yours sincerely, grateful american".

You can imagine the happiness that Christopher and his family felt when they received the gift and the note. In addition, the new lawn mower helped Christopher spend more time with his wife and children.

What a wonderful story! No matter who that anonymous person is, he or she definitely has a golden heart.
